Green Commercial Waste Management Systems for High Rise Buildings
High rise buildings, both residential and commercial, have complex waste management systems. In residential facilities, each unit has a kitchen. Commercial buildings over 10 stories tall most typically have in-house food facilities. Both large scale commercial and residential buildings produce large volumes of grease and face severe food waste management challenges. They have a waste disposal system that includes lift stations and sump pumps. These treatment systems are subject to constant build-up. They must be kept clean to assure that acceptably clean effluent is discharged into the municipal waste water treatment system to avoid fines and penalties. In the U.S. there are some 20,000 such high rise buildings and over a hundred thousand more world wide. Commercial building facility managers view waste management costs as a major issue and an expensive problem. Most buildings have millions of dollars in waste management and disposal infrastructure (pipes, pumps, etc.) and have very active programs to regularly "jet" their pipes, pump their grease traps and clean their lift stations. This is waste disposal management is expensive – typically at the cost of $20,000 - $80,000 annually. Green Bull offers a much more cost-effective and environmentally friendly waste management solution to grease and sludge buildup. Through the ongoing application of Green Bull's green remediation products, grease buildup is significantly reduced. This provides an environment with less odors, overflows or other grease related problems. Consistent treatment with Green Bull will reduce the FOG content of the effluent returning to municipal waste treatment systems. Many building and facility management firms are focused on being environmentally friendly, and Green Bull's solution can help these buildings obtain LEED points.
